Modernist furniture is what Warren Platner was most famous for, the Platner Chairs and Tables, that came to epitomize the 60s Modernist aesthetic. Platner worked with legends Eero Saarinen and Kevin Roche, and had a fruitful relationship with Knoll.

Whilst during the modern design movement of the 1960s, a simple concept was created by Warren Platner. It was the transforming of steel wire into a unique and supremely modern sculptural furniture collection into a creative masterpiece: the Platner Armchair. This classic chair, with its unmistakable frame and your choice of upholstery, will add a striking dimension to the dining room, living room or office.

The Platner armchair soon became a classic chair once released. This trully U.S. iconic example of 1960s modernist design, the Platner Lounge Chair is diverse and stylish enough to still be one of the more beautiful and beloved chairs on the market. Platner set out to create a delicate strength in his chairs, as well as a graceful look. This was achieved by constructing the base and backing of the chair in thin wire rods, close together and welded to circular rings in a way that recalls a haystack. He succeeded fully: the Platner Lounge Chair is stunning.
The Platner seating collection is customizable, with the finish of the vertical wire rods being up to the buyer, as well as the cushion arrangement and color.
