Sandy Chilewich began her company based in New York city in 1997. Sandy a New York based designer is pasionate about interior design and continues to impress the design world with her work. Experimentation of various materials, colours and fibres has resulted in a vast selection of differing accessories for the modern look.

What makes Chilewich all the more important in our choice of companies to promote is the fact that her home decor accessories are made almost exclusively in the U.S. and that they are sold around the world.

Sandy has been able to create her signature textile, woven vinyl, in addition to many other accessories to modernise and invigorate the look of your home.

Chilewich’s Environmental pledge.

Cutting edge design is one of Chilewich’s prides, with specialization of woven vinyl fabric manufacturing.

The use of these vinyl fabrics includes:

contemporary home and modern commercial interiors.

Why use Vinyl? Chilewich simply states “We use vinyl because it is durable, easy to maintain and provides the aesthetic qualities our customers’ desire”

Innovation plays a key role in the design of the products and the aim is to use the least amount of energy possible to create these products. Modern, easy cleaning and durable is what Chilewich is creating, for a vast amount of differing applications.

Cleaning of the products is done with water and bio-degradable detergents.

The Chilewich products are built to last and having a long life cycle whilst maintaining a modern aesthetic is what helps drive reductions in both energy use and costs.

Chilewich continues to make great progress in being “green.” As one example the use of post-industrial content in their backing of their selected products . The flooring items meet the requirements of the Carpet and Rug Institute’s Green Label Plus program that are stringently adhere to.

The Design of their products are aimed to improve indoor air quality and this has only been awarded after an extensive number of laboratory tests.
